A Cat B end-to-end office fit-out for BT Telecoms, integrating advanced HVAC, M&E infrastructure, glass partitioning, and staff welfare facilities into a high-performance modern workplace.
We were appointed to deliver a comprehensive, end-to-end office refurbishment for BT Telecoms. The objective was to transform a traditional workspace into a high-performance, modern environment that meets the rigorous technical demands of a global telecommunications leader while providing a premium experience for their staff.
The project required a total strip-out and a complex reconfiguration of the existing floor plan. The primary challenge was integrating heavy-duty mechanical and electrical (M&E) infrastructure — essential for a tech-heavy firm like BT — into a sleek, contemporary design that complies with the latest UK Office Regulations.
Our team installed a complete new air conditioning and ventilation system, commissioned to meet stringent UK airflow and energy efficiency standards for optimal workplace comfort. This was paired with a full mechanical and electrical overhaul encompassing data cabling, power distribution, and energy-efficient LED lighting systems throughout the floor plate.
A new, agile office layout was created using premium glass partitioning to maximise natural light while providing acoustic privacy for meeting rooms and quiet zones. New suspended ceiling systems were installed to house integrated services, complemented by high-durability commercial flooring zoned to distinguish between workspace and social areas. Full first and second-fix carpentry delivered bespoke door sets, skirting, and integrated storage. The project concluded with the design and installation of a brand-new staff kitchen and breakout area, finished with modern cabinetry, high-end appliances, and vibrant decoration to encourage collaboration and relaxation.
The completed BT office is a masterclass in modern workplace design. By balancing the invisible essential services — M&E and HVAC — with high-quality internal finishes and dedicated staff welfare zones, we delivered a future-proofed environment that supports both technical operations and employee wellbeing, fully compliant with UK Building and Office Regulations.
